What is worth noticing is that the processor is operating in low-power mode(80+5 Watt); in spite of the RTX3070 processor. The +5 represents the additional power to boost the GPU performance. The reason for the low-power mode is that the TUF dash F15 has limited cooling room due to it’s lightweight and slim design features.
What seems to be a problem actually is not! No doubt this gadget is forced to operate in low power mode but with the new GPU architecture; this issue also gets resolved.
The laptop can easily push 60+fps at 1080p and up to 200+fps for bigger game titles like DOTA. Another plus point is the laptop’s fans usually don’t heat up and make a loud noise when playing heavy software games
Display and Design
This sturdy built laptop follows the tagline this time i.e. ‘Keep it slim and sophisticated’.
The TUF Dash F15 comes in a slim and more refined design with zero body flex.
It is available in two colours as Grey and Moonlight White with a small ASUS logo making it look simple and classic.
The transparent WASD keys have always impressed us. But, the drawback is; your laptop must be charged properly to lit them up properly.
Honestly speaking, the track pad should not have been placed at the exact centre; but it’s smooth and responsive.
The 15.6” FHD+ screen with 1920X1080p resolution supports adaptive syncs. Also the 240 Hz refresh rate offers a smooth and better gaming experience.
Battery Performance & Connectivity
The Battery comes with a 4-cell 76Wh battery and 200 watt power brick and a refresh rate of 240 HZ. That means battery life is great and has been optimized as this laptop works in low power mode.
Normal Battery backup can usually last for 6-7 hrs. And, when playing heavy games, you need to charge the laptop after 1.5 hrs. That’s again impressive.

ASUS’s has never compromised on prices but have made sure the users get the best experience. In our opinion this laptop is not only good for gamers but also for content creators. Also, the laptop is available at 1.4 Lacs which is half the cost of previous Zephyrus S15 series. This gaming laptop contains all the specifications and features that you’ll get in Zephyrus premium series.
What you’ll miss in the TUF series of ASUS?
- Unlike ROG Zephyrus premium line, liquid metal cooling is missing.
- Limited power and thermal performance.
- There is no webcam; maybe it’s better for privacy.
But this issue is also resolved with the new architecture of GPU which was missing in older versions. So, the only drawback is the absence of Webcam that we think should have been included.
Rest it’s a great option in terms of performance, quality, lightweight design and battery life. Trust us, you won’t regret buying it!
